Looking forward to 2026

We had big plans for 2025 and achieved many of them.
But a lot has also happened: entire chip families have been discontinued, and that presented us with challenges, because our customers’ products have to continue to function. Obsolescence management—clearly our job!

At the beginning of the year, people often ask what’s comming next …

Our IT department worked hard at the turn of the year. Workplace monitors have become larger, workstations have become incredibly faster and require more memory. This reminds me of the early days in 1987, when an AT286 PC with a 40GB hard drive was the ultimate.

Is it all just a gimmick or a luxury? Definitely not.

The demands on computing power have grown considerably because programming and CAD tools have become increasingly complex, powerful, and efficient… despite, or perhaps because of, artificial intelligence. AI technology helps us become more efficient, but fortunately it does not replace pioneering thinking, ingenious ideas, entrepreneurial courage, or vision.

It is definitely a technological leap forward that we will use to relieve ourselves of standard tasks and have even more time to efficiently solve our customers’ problems.
With this in mind, we are clearly looking ahead and looking forward to the new challenges. Above all, I wish us all a more peaceful new year.
